Re: Democrat Or Republican?

I have traditinally voted republican but am more of an indipendant. I ony see two canidates I like so far Ron Paul and Fred Thompson. The last actor / president worked pretty good.

Re: Democrat Or Republican?

I've voted Liberal Democrat (British party) more often than not, but they're going downhill atm.
If I lived in the US, I would vote Democrat, basically cos GWB can't string a sentence together.

Re: Democrat Or Republican?

If I could vote, I would vote for moderates regardless of party. So I would end up voting for both democrats and republicans.

For the 2008 elections, the people I want to see nominated are either John Edwards or Obama for democrats or Giulianni (maybe McCain b/c he's more moderate than many Republicans) for Republicans.

As a super-power we should be using our resources and technology in a more effecient manner, they are using the technology we taught them against us...go figure. We are pretty much a laughing stock of the International Community. If it wasn't for our brute strength we would be doomed. We also believe our own governemts propaganda (Bull Crap). Living in American is like a reality T.V. show on steroids. I still have faith that things will turn around for better. Just thought I would throw that out there....
I live in England and I think you hit the nail on the head here, this is the wider view of the international community (not so much mine) and it's no good people saying that America will win the war on terror alone because it won't, (not while iran is funding it), it needs the international community as one to make a difference.

Being honest, I don't really know the ins and outs of American politics, so I suppose I would vote Democrat being a labour supporter here.

I have always voted Labour over here as they seemed to be the better party for the country, (£5.85/hour minimum wage, ($10 ish), NHS etc, but come 2010 when we can vote, I'm going to have to have a really hard think as to who I vote for.

I don't really have an opinion of George Bush as long as he doesn't prevoke Iran or we are all in the s**t but I do think that it is time for a change and it is good that you have a fixed term limit for presidents, as there is none of that here, but over here for years there was only one party to vote for and that was labour.

But whoever you have as the next president, Obama, Clinton, McCain, Romney etc they need to get a grip of the gun problem over there, It's terrible to see all these people on the news being needlessly killed.

Just thought I'd air my views, not living in America and all that,

Ben

Re: Democrat Or Republican?

I can't see voting for any of them. They all have their own agenda. I'd much prefer someone sincere and a real tough guy. I'd vote for Jesse Ventura any day of the week.

Re: Democrat Or Republican?

I agree with the last comment. I think they both stink. We desperately need political reform in this country...I discuss this and other relevant topics on my political blog:

Re: Democrat Or Republican?

Stephen Colbert for president!!! :)

Seriously though, I'm a republican. I have some democratic viewpoints but all in all, I lean pretty far to the right.
