In case anyone hasn't noticed, Canada's liberal party is on the verge of losing parlimentary control to the conservatives. My friend in Ontario has the conservaitve guy's sign in her yard. More updates next week.

It looks like the conservatives won a minority governement.

Looks like this is going to lead to better relations in the US. And the War on Terror. But the liberal party still controls the parliment up there i think...it might be a bumpy road but this is definitly a leap forward.

he's buying icebreakers to patrol Canada's arctic water (which we claim as international) to show us who's boss up there.

It's like Nevada sending dune buggies to patrol the desert for Californians.

That was sarcasm if ya didn't notice. At least it's only a minority, it could be alot worse. Imagine how screwed Canada would be with a conservative majority. We might as well have given Bush control of Canada as well, because Stepehen Harper is just as much of a right-winged nut as Bush is.
