why should they get a normal plate in 5 years? This is kind of cruel and unusuall though. Why no just keep tabbs on them quietly like florida?

I can see the new game of pink plate hunting.

Then you would have more situations like we had up here not to long ago.A fellow went to the state site that identified sexual preditors. Got there address and killed two of them.

Murderers get deep red.

Rapists get green.

Extortionists get blue.

CEO's get "My other car is a yacht" plates.

But seriously, why are we so hung up on sex crimes? I'm sure psychologists have had a field day digging into this part of our nature. Don't get me wrong - they are reprehensible. But nobody seems to want to do the same to other violent criminals.

because they are more likely to repete their crimes, and the crime it's self really f*cks whith the victims heads for the rest of their lives.

and rapist count as sex offenders too.

I've been saying for awhile now that Sex Offenders might as well flee to an uncharted island because they won't have anywhere to go soon. And child molesters are often murdered in prison.... even the murderers don't want them. I was told by someone that there is more than one living less than 10 minutes away from me. Chances are there's one by you and you don't even know it, they're everywhere. Since I don't have children I'm not overly concerned, but to those of you who do have them I ask you: How do you feel about it?

They might as well just enact the death penalty for these crimes. Seems the more humane thing to do these days........

I'm sure many here have watched Escaped From New York and the sequel...

putting all sex offenders in such a situation is about the only sure solution...segregate them from the rest of society..of course, careful analysis of what type of offense is needed...I mean a 17yr old boy having relations with a 15yr old girl is certainly not a violent offense IMO (assuming it was consensual of course)

as has been previously posted, they are repeat offenders...fark their rights, what about the rights of the rest of society?..

as it stands now, sex offenses are almost brushed off in the court system..the edited who molested my step daughter when she was 10 years old only got edited again probation for his offense...farking probation..and I'll guarantee you it was not his first time, just the time he finally got caught..he'll be very lucky if I never run across him face to face..very lucky..as my definition of mercy is to kill somebody..my idea of real punishment is to let them live....castrated, and eating out of a straw for the rest of their worthless lives...

personally i think it's more heinous than murder.

at least murdering someone doesn't steal their dignity, just their life.
