Internet : toward a SPLIT ?

EU says internet could fall apart

· Developing countries demand share of control
· US says urge to censor underlies calls for reform
. Internet summit likely to get nowhere

The European commission is warning that if a deal cannot be reached at a meeting in Tunisia today the internet will split apart.

We're talking about other countries censoring the net but I think that's what the other countries are worried about us doing.

With the protestant pope in the white house other countries are worried about us censoring the net the way the FCC does TV.

There actually is a country that censors what goes on the net from their end. That country is China.

Agreement concerning control over the technology powering the internet was reached in Tunis last night.
the United States will continue its control over the internet through the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN).
