The real story is up there, here's 40s conspiracy theory:

Bush nominated someone he know wouldn't make it so he could nominate a white male without scrutiny. Now he can say, "what are you b*tchin about, I tried to nominate a woman but y'all wouldn't have it."

Now that's not necessarily a bad thing because republicans don't believe in affirmative action anyways, but it's a pretty slick move if true.

He'll get a stiff opposition from Kennedy and crew, but he'll go through. I hope Frist has enough sack to force a vote.
