Re: "Give me an inch, and I'll take your yard!"
It's just a simple knock on the Iraq war... The dog mistake represents the wrong intel - WMD in Iraq. The rest is just the idea that we are stuck in Iraq and the Bush administration won't leave due to their pride, but instead choose to occupy.
Been done before, not too clever. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of comics. They tend to be dumbed down and just play to the popular sentiment. I think they actually ran out of ideas a long time ago . |

Or are you saying my comment itself applied equally well to McCain? Personally, I don't like any of the candidates. Obama is much too vague - I know enough about him to know that he's liberal and what positions he takes on most issues, but I would have never gotten any of that from his campaign speeches. From his speeches I know he wants to bring 'change' and 'hope.' Electing a monkey would be a 'change', so that's not quite specific enough. Hope... for what? A 'better America'? That's the problem: no one agrees on what exactly that is . I'm leaving Hillary out because her chances of becoming the nominee are becoming slimmer by the moment.Honestly, I'm just glad for checks and balances and the fact that a President's effect is limited this time around. Each of the candidates has serious issues for me. Most likely I will just vote for my determined lesser-of-evils when time comes; not voting is not a consideration for me. I'm still trying to figure how spider pig relates to anything... ![]() Last edited by -=Rousseau=- : 05-12-2008 at 01:09 AM. |

It would have been slightly better if the garden had had an apple tree, so that Nate could just stay there eating his neighbours apples.
Although I think it is more applicable to Afghanistan where America and Co. went in to sort out the evil dog of Al-Qaeda who had been training there. |

Re: "Give me an inch, and I'll take your yard!"
Rousseau, the Spiderpig clip was meant as a reference to how McCain has sold out to the far Right and allowed himself to be manipulated in his bid for the Presidency. I could have just posted something like, "John McCain: Former Principled Conservative; now Right Wing ****!" but I don't know what the moderators might have done with the text. Guess I'll know soon enough. Anyway, I thought the Simpson's clip was funnier.
