Curious. Are you suggesting that, out of all human activity, only religion contains hatred and self-interest?
I have yet to find any human activity that does not contain human actions! Even quilt making in the 19th century led to a brawl at least one time in the article I read.

O.K., So life is bad for people's health!

I doubt though that any 19th century quilt maker ever systematically murdered people for teaching women. But I also doubt that it has as much to do with Islam as it does with the Taliban wanting absolute power.
