Both these guys have sold out to the radical wing of the Republican Party in an attempt to get nominated. The sad thing is that neither of these guys are really a fit for the Far Rights mold.

Let's see now, what platform are these candidates running on? "Stay the Course" is a good summation. We want to "stay the course" because NeoCon policies have resulted in unprecedented prosperity for the middle class, a stable banking system, a re-birth of American manufacturing capability, reduced dependence on OPEC? Well, at least the Surge is working. Just look at Basra. Good to see that the Iraqi government is making so much headway in handling their own security, and that Iraq has finally put aside all those divisive ethnic and religious issues. I'm especially gratified to see that Al-Maliki has a viable plan for the reconstruction of Basra and more reconciliation.

Now, I'm not naive, and I'm not going to say that electing a Democratic President is going to make these problems disappear overnight, but I am totally convinced (as I believe most Americans are) that more of the current Administration's agenda is a only prescription for more failures.
