FBI privacy violations confirmed

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080306/..._pe/senate_fbi
Maybe not much damage was done, but it confirms again something about the nature of these organizations: they are obsessed with collecting data. Any data, all the time, even totally useless info (although I suspect that in their minds there is no such thing as useless info).
Therefore the president's argument that they will only collect relevant info to fighting terror, has no merit. These spying organizations have no sense of self censorship and will not stop at red light.

Re: FBI privacy violations confirmed

Fearmongering is the best they can do , scare people in order to steal their rights and freedom.
But i think that strategy won't work anymore .

This was all done with bush blessings. as he said a few years ago, if you dont have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about.

The bad thing is, so many people dont care, because so many people are now so afraid of terrorist they are willing to let the fbi, homeland security and others to spy even if it results in the violation of the law. They want that perception of protection.

These are dark times indeed.

I truly beleive that we are witness to the downfall of the American experience. We'll never again rise to the level we once attained or think we've currently acheived.
