"I don’t want a man that’s going to use the Koran to be sworn in as President"

A) "I don’t want a man that’s going to use the Koran to be sworn in as President instead of the Bible.”

Q) Where did you get this information that Barack Obama wanted to be sworn in on the Koran?

A) From one of our Church members that’s keeping up with what his comments are and you know he wouldn’t even do the Pledge of Allegiance. He refused.

The guy is pretty transparent it's disturbing that there are people who vote that are nuts enough to believe this.

That one is true. Although he said sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't.
Of course, his middle name is Hussein.

The youtube version :
Rocketboom field correspondent and The Uptake producer Chuck Olsen talks to Christian Fundamentalists about Mike Huckabee, Barack Obama, and the End Times in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

After seeing the film “Jesus Camp” I’m not surprised.

Re: "I don’t want a man that’s going to use the Koran to be sworn in as President"

personally I could careless if the person running for office is muslim, morman or christian. If they can do the job within the constitution of the of the US and do it properly then so be it.

Barack Obama is a member of the United Church of Christ. So what if he had a muslim father and has the middle name of hussein.

I don't get why he never changed his name legally... For some people, names mean something. Hussein would not be a name I'd want to be associated with at all, judging from the fact that nearly everyone knows who Saddam Hussein was...

Would it matter if someone's middle name was Hitler? Mussolini? Stalin? I'll concede that since Saddam Hussein only became dictator in 1979, Obama's parents would not have known of him, but Barack has had at least 29 years to change his middle name...

Re: "I don’t want a man that’s going to use the Koran to be sworn in as President"

But names are important to the person they were given too... I get teased because of one of my middle names... should I change it because of that?

I can give my respect to someone who says "no, I wont do that" then someone who changes his middle name to get votes.

But I still wont vote for him... he hasn't said anything about the "change" he wants to make. Tho my belief on his "change" is that it wont be another old wite guy in office if he gets elected.

Re: "I don’t want a man that’s going to use the Koran to be sworn in as President"

Where's the beef?

OK, I cannot find the ad on the tubes, but last night while watching idol, I saw a new Obama ad. He was singing the same song about change, and briefly in the background flashed a picture of a hurricane (pbly Katrina) and The World Trade Center on fire. My take on it was that he is blaming Bush for those events.

If I were a BHO supporter, I would advise him to not go to the far left. Part of his appeal is to the indie voters and he would lose those to McCain in a heartbeat if he waxes liberal prose.

He has all that on his website. He started off talking professorial and such, but that made people wonder what happened to the energetic and optimistic guy they heard at the convention.

Now I think his mistake is in his ads. Those should address policy and tactics instead of being like his speeches.

Re: "I don’t want a man that’s going to use the Koran to be sworn in as President"

sooo,, he's going to change hurricanes?? and change planes being flown into bldgs?...

the only change you'll get from Obama is how many dimes and nickels he's going to let you keep in your pocket. which will only amount to "change"

Had he changed his name he would be subject to a huge question over what he was trying to hide.
Lots of Hispanics are called Jesus. No one reads anything into that. I always thought it was blasphemy. It certainly makes WWJD an interesting question to ask!
