Fox blackballing Ron Paul from New Hampshire debate

"Fox News and the New Hampshire Republican Party will host a forum at St. Anselm College, featuring Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Fred Thompson."

But Republican Congressman Ron Paul seems to be excluded from the debate.

"Given that Paul has about twice as much support in New Hampshire than Thompson, he's likely to finish ahead of Giuliani in Iowa, and he's raised more money in the fourth quarter than any of them, it's hard to understand how the Republican network can justify excluding Paul. "

They were looking at his stance on the war.

I mean you know what Paul would say in the debate,

"Constitution, freedom, founding fathers would have done this & that, bring back the Monroe doctrine, turn the US back into a confederacy blah blah blah...,"

but he still should have a chance to say.

Right, meaningless issues like written constitution, rule of law, habeas corpus, blah blah blah.....

Sheesh, no wonder the country is in the state it is.

They're good issues, but I don't think he gets specific enough as to his plans for those issues. When Ron Paul addresses these issues in the safety of generality it does sound like he's just droning on.

Re: Fox blackballing Ron Paul from New Hampshire debate

He would be relevant IF he made any sense when he talks. I saw him the other night with an interview on Meet The Press. This guy talks in circles and doesn't answer half the questions he is asked. He dodges the hard questions and just "polly parrots" his same old line over and over.

In fact, he sounds like a broken record regardless of what he is asked. I think 40 had a great analogy when he said that Ron Paul "addresses these issues in the safety of generality it does sound like he's just droning on."

I don't think educated people would ever vote for someone like Ron Paul.

Actually one could argue they are incredily smart. Bush got what he wanted, he was obviously smarter then the 240 mill americans who disagree with the war. That says something in itself.

that could put him in the same category as hitler.

but we are getting off the topic. I have yet to see a debate that has all the candidates.

Ouch, this thread got Hitlered.

Mike Huckabee has moved to the top tier of republicans. That means at the debates, he doesn't have to wear a name tag.
