Chavez 'will step down in 2013'
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has said he will step down when his current term expires in 2013, following the defeat of his reform proposals.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7131993.stm Bonus : King Juan Carlos of Spain tells Hugo Chavez to "shut up" during the 17th Ibero-American summit held at Santiago de Chile and in the presence of leaders from Latin America, Spain and Portugal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gB_fvVLdmRI

Re: Chavez 'will step down in 2013'
It's a long time 'till 2013, and I won't believe it until I see it. Looks to me like the propaganda mill is in full swing, and I wonder if Venezuela might be headed for its own "State of Emergency".
I enjoyed the Juan Carlos video, and appreciated the fact that he remained dignified throughout the exchange. I wish the audio were better. I had some trouble hearing it. A real problem on top of my rusty Spanish.
