WOW! Hugo Chavez has more class than leftists in the US !

In a close vote 51/49%, Hugo Chavez loses his bid for lifetime dictatorship :

Now, remember the 2000 Gore vs. Bush election.
Gore barely lost, and wanted a recount in Florida (good for him, I would have also). Then there was another 2nd Florida recount.... ok
Then Gore and his leftist buddies tried STEALING the election by hand-picking heavy democratic counties for recount (over and over and over), using "mind-readers" to predict how people "actually" voted, and even tried omitting over-seas military votes ! (but backed off after public outcry).
THEN, Gore and other radical leftists had the nerve to say GWB "stole" the election. Even to this day there's left-wing extremists that say GWB "stole" the 2000 election !

Yes, even Socialist-Communist Chavez has more class than some radical leftists in the US.

Kinda scarey actually..........

I agree with this statement. He is sitting back and trying to figure out how to do it without making his people mad. Right now a good majority is backing him in most things and think hes a great leader. He dont want to rock the boat right now but I bet he will come up with something soon so he can declare martial law.

that may be so, but he said some things about the US leading up to that vote that you can't take back. When someone says they'll cut oil to you by, "simply turning the spicket," as he said, it's time for a serious call to stop depending on these nut jobs.

Yea, everyone knows Hugo's a left-wing nutjob, and perhaps he has something up his sleeve so he can still be a life-long leftist dictator.

But that wasn't my point of this thread. My point is that leftists in the US are in some ways more radical than Hugo buddy. When they tried stealing the 2000 presidential election; that was more radical and dangerous than how Hugo "appears" to have handled this election. Not to mention he "appears" to have handled this with MUCH more class than leftists in the US handled the 2000 election.

well, the case can also be made that gwb stoled the election with the help of floridas governor who also happens to be his brother.

Though I dont agree with what gore did, I do believe that the election was stolen from him.

In addition gwb changed the rules a few months ago about declaring martial law in the US so that also makes me wonder if there are plans for some terrorist action just so he can declare martial law and remain the president of the US.

You mean the recounts done by the New York Times and other liberal (I think there were 5 or 6 different liberal newspapers did separate recounts) media outlets after the election were not accurate. ALL of them found out in the recounts that BUSH won. None found that Gore had the most votes.

Hmm.........Maybe you know something they don't. If you do know something these newspapers don't, then it is time to bring it to the front so we can get things straightened up.

Darn....., off topic again, back to old Chavez. It is my thought that he is now looking for another way to get this done and he won't take this without finding a way. Dictator for life!

It can be hard to stay on-topic when the thread essentially lacks a topic and is just some knee jerk slur thrown up by a poster with his brain dis-engaged from the process. But, this a really interesting comment on the referendum in Venezuela from a perspective that many American's may not have considered. It has a lot to say about the future of Venezuela, Cuba, and Marxism in Latin America.

I don't think someone has to be a "right-wing wacko" to realize that Hugo Chavez handled his narrow defeat with more class then leftists did in the U.S. 2000 presidential election.
The year 2000 wasn't that long ago, especially for those who still think GWB is an "illegitimate" president, because he "stole" the election.
