Richard Roberts told students at Oral Roberts University Wednesday that he did not want to resign as president of the scandal-plagued evangelical school, but he did so because God insisted.

When God phoned me tonight, he said that while Roberts was a sinner, he shouldn't do hard time. Divine interests were best served if Roberts was banished from Grace and sent to the Cote d'Azur to consort with harlots and idolaters. No doubt Melanoma from excessive exposure to the sun will send him to an early grave.

In the meantime, the Lord was confident that faithful Evangelicals would somehow find the means to bail out ORU, though He was somewhat irritated about not getting a cut.

I'd walk to Roberts and go "the lord told me to knock you out"

Then knock him out and walk away, smiling knowing I just knocked a guy out for being an idiot.
