Well, I have to agree with them in that if they feel it is torture, then they, meaning the UN doesn't have to use them on UN premises.

However, I am sick and tired of them trying to tell everyone else what to do, so like many other things, they can go take a hike as far as I am concerned.

Anyone if favor of moving the UN to another country????

Apparently the UN building is another country (or lack of country: it is an international territory).

Surly torture is how you do things and not necessarily what you do. To shoot someone is not normally torture, but it can be adopted as a torture method. If the use of a taser is to temporarily disable someone, then it hardly used for torturous intent. Yet I'm sure I could use pepper spray to torture someone if I wanted to (and had some).

they can be used as torture devices but so can water, music, and food. Its all in how the device is used. I would rather see individuals put down by tasers than bullets. they stand a very good chance of living.

This reminds me of how leftists call it "torture" when the US uses loud rap music, sleep deprivation, and waterboarding on terrorist prisoners with information.

I'll take tasers and US covert "torture" over REAL torture anyday....
