Garry Kasparov charged over rally

The Russian authorities have charged opposition leader and former chess champion Garry Kasparov following clashes with police in Moscow.

The former chess champion was forced to the ground and beaten..

Imagine how big the scandale would be if it was H.clinton or Kerry being detained like what just happened to Kasparov ?

Re: Garry Kasparov charged over rally

I was in moscow that day actually and we were trying to avoid the demostration which we did.

Quite frankly putin is very popular with his poeple, but I think this most likely hurt him more then anything else.

I'm sorry but he should just let the man speak his mind. And say at the end of the day this is how democracy works. regradless of how popular I may be the oppostion is given a free voice to speak their mind.
