Illegals working in america
What do yall think of it? Me i'm personally for it. Why? Because thats how America has always been a melting pot of different cultures. We shouldn't impose restrictions on immigrants.
Not only that many times those immigrants do chores and jobs that most Americans wouldn't touch for the amount of money that is offers. Like picking vegetables or something similar making next to nothing an hour. I believe the large majority of illegals crossing the border are merely doing it to find a better life. And they should be allowed that right. |

Re: Illegals working in america
It's too many too fast. We have neither the infrastructure or the revenue to sustain the number of people who do not pay taxes or earn barely enough for the lowest tax bracket.
I think Latin culture is a great addition to this country, however for the former reason the US must stem the tide for the sake of all citizens.

Re: Illegals working in america
I'm all for Latin Americans legally immigrating to the U.S.
If so many want to come to the U.S., maybe we should raise the quota or streamline the legal migration process. But I don't agree with allowing tens of millions of illegal immigrants to have a free pass working/living here. |

Re: Illegals working in america
hmmm...(looks into crystal ball)....kinda cloudy....something is coming into view...hmmm...wow....a movie about illegal aliens being executed by vigilantes....
and this is what a lot of Americans feel...these illegal (i.e. law breaking) immigrants are taking jobs from citizens of this country, end of discussion...take the argument that others don't do said jobs and shove it where the sun don't shine...they do the jobs, but demand better compensation...if you were a greedy employer who would you prefer? a worker who slaves away for minimum wage or another who demands $2/hr more? oh, and I'm not joking about the movie... |

Re: Illegals working in america
If I had a war on terror, I think I would want to make my borders watertight.
I'm all for immirgrants working in America. In fact I'm all for training monkeys to work in America, I mean they already dominate congress. But the illegal bit is the tricky one. People need to stand up and be taxed. The state needs to know who is there, just in case there's a big fire. Or a war. |

However the state doesn't let them work, it doesn't allow them to come over.
The quoate for immgirants is 500k a year. 500k ask yourself who is that 500k going go to? A poor mexican larbor or a succesfull college grab from some uni in europe who has a lot to offer. |

Re: Illegals working in america

Re: Illegals working in america
I'll tell you, this sis what i've gathered as I still follow American news more then german.
But they allow each harvest season a large ammount of workers to come into germany and work for a time being, they then bus them back out. However the german situation is a bit different. We are a part of the EU I can travelt o spain and start working and as long as I pay my taxes and follow their laws i'm good but from what I understand there is nothing stopping me from dong it. |

Re: Illegals working in america
Horray for Europe (EU).
Actually as I understand it, many more 'developed' members of the EU have 'quotas' of people that they will let in from certain 'new' EU members to stop too much economic migration. What would also be interesting is how Germany coped with East and West being reunited: lots of people from the east looking to make their fortune in the west bit. In fact I did hear it said that it was because of reunification that Germany was not the finantial powerhouse it had been in the good old days of Britain crashing out of the ERM. |
