Wait... didn't he say he was only going to have emergency powers for 18 months, and that he was still held to the democratic process and... ehhh I bet no one saw this coming

Re: Chavez seeks end to term limits

Like a Peeper, Chavez is a small frog in a small pond with a loud croak. His policies of oil-fueled handouts to the poor at the expense of all other groups just sow the seeds of his country's economic and social ruin. Just another wannabee that won't rate more than a historical footnote in 50 years.

Re: Chavez seeks end to term limits

IDK, he could become the next hilter you never know.

I see this relation very close to Hilters relation. (what I mean is stated in the below)

Hilter was elected to a high gov ranking postion simliar to that of Chavez
Through a series of moves he was able to become superme leader of Germany

Chavez was elected president
Through a series of moves he was able to become superme leader of his country

Now just gotta addin the military build up annexing of other countries and extermiation of another race and its the same thing.

Not faimliar on South American issues, but I could see a group of poeple being disliked simliar to what the jews were like in the 1940s

Seeing relations like this is critical.

Although there is one critical difference between Germany and this current sitution.

Germany didn't have the largest moved advanced military fighting force a mere few hundred miles away, esp in the age of information as today.

As in the article it said the US military wasn't concerned of his accustation of arms, because they are all inferior to ours.

If anything I bet our gov would LOVE to have Chavez make hostile moves in the South AMerican area, threating peace down there and even America. If he did America would move in SO QUICK.

Ploticians could word this war so well, and its sitution they could say things such as

"Iraq was 7,000 miles away from our shores, this is 400 miles can we allow such a power to exist so close?" and so forth.
