Re: Sean Penn

I think he really wants to look more important than he actually is. A lot of actors have this problem. You get some who try and get the rubber to meet the road when it comes to their little missions in life, and then you get ones like Penn who just like to feel important.

This is also why so many are Scientologist trying to save us theton packed drugged up fools from Lord Xenu.

That's my Psych 101 take on it anyways.

Re: Sean Penn

I read the articles of Sean Penn's trip, who is using WHO..

You do see alot of actors trying to help save the world. However it is going to take more then the actors

WE as people need to stop fighting and come to some neutral point and work together.
Look at all the politicans in Washington and in our state government,
It is all the repubicans fault or democrats. WHY ISNT IT both

They have yet to do anything that is truly going to solve the War, job issues, fuel issues, homeless rate, and so on

All they do is blame each other.

So you have movie stars doing what they can to help, they are using there own money so be it. We in a sense pay there salary why not let them try cause all our money paying them fools in Washington to do right by us and the Country isnt working

Re: Sean Penn

I've never really been a big fan of Penn...I think he goes over the top quite a bit.

I know a lot of people can't stand actors having political opinions...much less expressing them in public...but I think there are plenty of actors who want to see change in America and that's how they know how to do it. Good on them for being politically active and trying to do something good.

I can see why Penn gets angry about the state of politics in America. That's fine...I get angry too, I'm sure most people who see the things that go on get at least annoyed with it. There has to be a point, however; when you objectively decide whether or not the road your going down is effective and if it's going to get you to where you want to go. Accepting an award for a film and then going off on politics and calling Bush and other politicians names just works agaisnt you I think.

You have to kinda chuckle over the irony in the fact that the actor who became famous for doing Fast Times At Ridgemont High is so heavily into politics in the way he is. On that movie, wasn't it History that he was failing? LOL! It doesn't reflect on how Sean Penn is as a person, but it's just something to laugh about. :P

Re: Sean Penn

How many of you think that them being as rich as they are are bringing the homeless into their homes... feeding or bathing them, donating money to the homeless or will pay the exorborant taxes the demo's want to raise (BTW did you see them try to push another gas tax thru but Bush veto'd it good for him... one of only a few right things he has done, yet the demo's are the ones screaming the loudest about how high gas prices are?)

Or do you think that like all rich people with high priced tax attorneys are going to find loopholes like all other rich people do to avoid paying alot of taxes?

They are ment to entertain us... thats what I pay to see when I go to the movies... not to hear them complain about the state of the union and all the crap they are not going to fix that they complain about!
