Of course not. This is more politics from the crowd that hates America first, and even better that hates American men first.
A online background check can be done immediately, but it can be very intrusive. Background check & search includes current phone number, address, address history for 30 years, age, birth dates, household members, relatives, associates, property ownership, lawsuits, marriage, divorce, criminal records check, sex offenders, terrorist watch, bankruptcy, tax liens. And they are not free. So before you email Svetlana you must know if she is worth $40 before you even say hello.

That is totally outrageous!!! What next? It will be against the law to have a pen pal?! It will be against the law to visit a foreign website?! It will be against the law to view a foreign movie?! Or, how about it will be against the law to read a foreign book or speak a foreign language?! The law! The law! The law! Bah! Humbug! Big Brother is at it again!!! No tolerance policy! Political correctness! The supreme Nanny State!
