Cry Toshiba satelite A30 with win2000 instal-problem

Hello,

I am trying hard to format my hardisk and put win2000 on my Toshiba laptop instead of that %$#@#$# XP home.
Till now it won't work.
"Specialists" tell me that the problem occurs because the laptop is "made for" XP.
Please help, i dont want the XP,instead i want to use win200 prof. on my laptop.
Has enyone experience with this problem ?

Thanks,

Jan Huizing

If the required drivers don't exist for 2K, you're probably out of luck.

Why such venom for XP? You can configure out most of the glitz and make it look almost like 2K, and I've had no issues with my laptops with XP on them. Get used to it, it's a new century.
