Re: Son graduating today

Aha, as he goes on, the old dad gets older...and older....and older. Enjoy these special times with your son, because life is about to change for the both of you.

My very best congratulations to the both of you and your family speedster.

Re: Son graduating today

Congratulations to Son & family ..

as for time and how does it pass so quickly .. don't even start to think about it or you'll end up coming to the conclusion that time is not as linear as one is told!!
when we are n our early years there are many times when time just didn't pass at all, especially around holidays, Festivities, Birthdays etc .. the days just wouldn't pass As we get older those occasions get fewer and fewer and those same delayed occasions seem to arrive far quicker than they should until at some point you realise that occasions have come and gone unnoticed .. like wedding anniversaries and Birthdays that SHOULD never be missed or forgotten (so we are told )

and so it goes on .. now all the days seem like one ! I no longer get to appreciate a long weekend because I am back at work before I realise that I should have been relaxing somewhere

Someone should study this at college and find a cure ..

In the meantime .. take the chance and the time to enjoy this great occasion .. and don't blink!!

Re: Son graduating today

congrats to your son and just to reinforce what others above have said - don't blink because next you know it he will be married and have kids
My 23 year old eldest son and his new wife (well married 2 months ago) have just moved interstate - and to the state that means crossing water to get to it - can't just drive down and say hello.
The time just flies by - I remember so clearly watching him born, growing up, going to first day of school, last day of school, TAFE and then a job - all seems so quick now!
PS as for textbook bills - my youngest started uni this year - combined maths and science degree - came home first week with a request for $500 worth of textbooks - now he's changing courses and half of them will be no good to him!

You can add my congratulations and I would also repeat the comments that have been made about time being non-linear.
