threatening thread
I received malware assistance here before, it was excellent and I thank you!
![]() However... there is information in that thread regarding my files and identity that can be found by a websearch. This is unsettling to me as that is private information (me and my files), and I was wondering if it may be removed. The thread is here: Infected with Bagel Virus, Trojan Downloader, etc Please advise! |

Re: threatening thread
Hi
I've had a look at the thread, but don't see anything out of the ordinary. In fact it's just the same logs that we ask all users to post. Is there something in particular that's worrying you?

Re: threatening thread
Thank you for your reply!
Yes, what was infected was the root folder of a website. In the post all the contents of that website and other related files were listed in that infected folder. I would really rather the public didnt view or have access to that content. And that linked to the CP's name which is also listed is something that sets me at unease, as I want to stay anonymous as that sites builder. During a search for my website a colleague came across the thread and after seeing my files listed there notified me. So when people search for the website or related keyword then this thread will come up in the search results, and all my private files are layed out. Can that thread not be removed? Or at least that particular information from it? I really am concerned about this and it would help me to sleep at ease if something could be done. |

Re: threatening thread
Hello mokkori -
Due to the nature of some of the files found in use on the machine, I feel it best to leave a record intact. I have removed a post which I think contains the information you're most concerned with, and edited out the site name in other posts. I hope you find that satisfactory.
