I asked a question under the XP section about steaming media through Windows media player over a network (no network servers) and no-one has helped me...

If its something that this forum is good at they help you quickly, if not or they dont know, no-one will tell you that.

Kinda makes me mad.

I also asked a question ages ago about an mp3 player and the guy couldn't help, I dont blame him though, it was a tough one.

Has it dawned on you that:

a) Maybe no one knows the answer?
b) Maybe no one who did know the answer actually saw your thread yet?

We have folks that come here daily, weekly and monthly. Just because you did not get an immediate answer to your question (which I do not know the answer to), is no reason to judge the entire forum in such a pouty fashion.

I know a guy on here who does his own streaming radio station. I will ask him to look at your thread. Try not to bad mouth us while I'm gone, if you can.

I'm that guy. I'll look over the post.

When you have a situation like this, post every day or so in the same thread to bump your thread up to the top of the list. This way, it'll be there until it either gets answered or closed.

You wonderful people took this way too harshly and I apologize for the "bad service remark". I most definitly admire what you do here. Sorry. Thanks.

oh and I dont mean anything agaist you all.
I just was a little frusterated sorry again.

Well this is why I needed it, (fox helped me )

I maintain a wireless network of about twenty computers with little
knowledge to what I am doing (all self-taught by guess and check)

Streaming our music over our network would and will can be cool.

Thanks

we understand, computers are extremely frusterating, and have a knack at making people lose their composure.
also, try to keep in mind that you probably don't want 10,000 people (half of our user base) coming in and saying they have no idea.

bump the thread once a day, and the person who knows will hopefully see it quickly.
