TAX DAY - Last Minute Mailing??

Hi. . .

I am just wondering how many of you will be joining me at 11:59pm tonight waiting in line in your car to hand your 1040 tax return to the mail carrier at curbside - so it will have an April 15, 2008, postmark.

Your Tax return is:
1. Already filed
2. Automatically Extended
3. Will not be filed on time
4. Finished, waiting to be mailed

And I hate tax season, always worried about audits.

You might want to make sure about that 11:59 deadline in your State. Several Post Offices in IN used to stay open 'til midnight for the procrastinators. That's no longer true.

Thank you all for your replies.

This was to be a poll for anonymity - but I didn't set it up correctly, I guess (this was the first time doing a poll).

So - my reply to this is #4 (23:59 on 4-15) for the tax returns that I do for many friends, family and others (unless refund, then #1). For me personally - #3 - will not be filed on time (even with extensions) - but I do make estimated payments. Procrastination at its finest!
