general question/request

i would like to have the ability to edit and/or delete my threads, the help section suggested that i just need to click the edit button, but i might not be set up to have that privlege...

I believe the edit option may have a time limit to it.

I could be wrong though.

Yes you are right. There is a 30minute period which you can edit posts.

If you find you are out of this period, PM a moderator and they will happily edit anything for you.

PS. uripyores Im from the Durham Area aswell

I don't think you can edit at all in Comments and Announcements. As Carsey says, if you have any problems, check which staff are online (see the bottom of the home page) and PM one of the Mods or Purps who are on and they will sort it for you..

You're right John, as usual, and while i don't pretend to know anything about the complexities of running a website/forum, i can't think of a logical reason why.

it means that if you want to stick both feet in your mouth at the same time .. you can't erase it afterwards and say you never did it!!
