Roll Eyes Worthless "View Posts" link

I've seen some poorly-designed forums before, but this is ridiculous. In the toolbar above, where your User CP, Site Map, and Donate links are, there is a link that says "View Posts." It takes you a few pixels down the page. And here I was thinking it would take me to my most recent posts. It's funny how so many boards find that providing the user with a page of their most recent posts so difficult, considering how necessary it is. I suppose I have Liquidweb to blame for this. Who ever came up with that should be shot.</rant>

Re: Worthless "View Posts" link

I'm sorry you are having problems with the link, but it's to work the way you want it to. When I click the drop down, and click "Your Posts" it shows me my last 500 posts, 25 posts per page starting with the last post.

when I click on view posts I get both new posts and your post. Its one of the most useful features of this site for me and use it all the time.

Re: Worthless "View Posts" link

I've been using that facility ever since I came to this forum..and it always gave me what I was looking for ..
The choices are
NEW POSTS .. Threads Which have had new posts submitted
YOUR POSTS ... all YOUR OWN POSTS .. starting with the last you made and going back.

If you want to see if anyone has written / replied to any thread that you have written to or started use the USER CP button .. shows all threads that have been updated since your last visit to them.

Re: Worthless "View Posts" link

I wouldn't blame Liquidweb just yet, it's more likely that there's a problem with your browser setup or internet/security settings. The pic below shows what you should be seeing when you click 'View Posts'.

With javascript disabled, I clicked View Posts and the screen moved down slightly, as you say in post#1. With javascript enabled it appears as below and functions correctly.

Re: Worthless "View Posts" link

Well that must be my problem. Whoops! Sorry I jumped to conclusions. I didn't even think it might be because I disabled my Javascript for the site. Guess I'll have to enable that now.
