Is there a problem with me?

Earlier today I posted a HijackThis log and no one replied to my thread. This isn't the first time that's happened; I posted another HijackThis log a while back and again no one replied. I can't help thinking that there's some kind of problem.

If there's a problem then I would appreciate it if someone please told me what it is. I had a brief altercation with a moderator about 12 months ago. If that's still being held against me...

...I don't mind moving to another forum.

Hi,
There is no problem that I know of. If you read the instuctions for posting a log it does say it can take some time to get a reply. 48 hours is not uncommon. If you have a look at the number of HJT logs waiting to be answered and bear in mind that the section is run by only a handful of trained analysts who are volunteers with day jobs, I'm sure you'll appreciate the problem. Please be patient and please do not "bump" your post for at least 48 hours. Logs are analysed from the oldest to the newest. Bumping effectively puts you to the back of the queue.

It's unlikely that anyone is 'holding anything against you'. Our HJT forum, in common with other forums, is extremely busy these days. We do try our best to get to you as quickly as we can but it's not always easy. The number of infected users is outstripping the number of available helpers. I can only ask you to be patient - remember, you can 'bump' after 48 hours.

You smell funny, and the whole "horned-helmet, marauding viking" shtick is old ....

Well, it's probably like John and Glas said ... With the volume of HJT logs, it's easy for a few to get missed at first ...

Oh well, thanks for clearing that up guys. I got a bit paranoid there for a while. I often feel guilty that I ask more questions than I answer but that's down to my lack of technical expertise. I'm presently training-up for CompTIA A+ so hopefully this situation will be remedied soon.

@ Chevy: I have a bath once a year + change my underwear at least every six months so stop complaining.

It's as simple as what has already been said above--we are overwhelmed in the HijackThis Log Help section and many logs these days go unanswered.

We do the best we can, but there are only so many of us who can only do so much in the time we have allotted. I will say this--when you bump prematurely (prior to 48 hrs), and repeatedly-- besides moving you 'back' in the queue it also makes it appear as though your thread is being handled by someone. We try to work the logs oldest to newest (judging by the last reply date) and we are looking for 1 or 0 replies when doing so.
