Granny has taken the baby, cos me and the missus are close to killing eachother from lack of sleep/headaches/stress.
It was supposed to be a night off, but ended up getting called out to replace a power supply that decided to catch aflame. Got back to find her asleep and the cat sat on her head. Quite comical. Wish I had got a picture of it.

What a day. It now seems as though my local community centre (for which I am the IT administrator) has been hit by lightning at some point before I started there. I was overhauling the machines today, after reports that none of them worked properly, to find that 3 out of 8 of them had fried graphics cards and 4 out of 8 had at least one bad stick of RAM. I then found that their servers motherboard had died too.
So anyway, I managed to cobble together 5 in the end, only to find the previous...

1: Playing American music during American-dominated games. What happened to the international theme??

2: BMX DOES NOT BELONG IN THE OLYMPICS. It's an extreme sport. It belongs in the X-games, and that's it.

3: (North) Americans dissing badminton and table tennis (not referring to anyone specifically, it's just I've heard a lot of it personally). For those people, they really need to open up their eyes and look beyond their own country, and stop thinking that everything...

I was raised in a cookie-cutter suburban home by both of my parents who were and are still married to one another. My parents never beat me or my siblings or otherwise hurt unless you consider being grounded a severe form of punishment. They encouraged us daily with school and everything else and even if we didn't get the highest marks or the blue ribbons they were still proud of us. They'd never put us second for anything.

A gaming rig for under £300? Im finding it difficult to comprehend why people want to scrimp on the greenback when for not-much-more they could have one thats almost up to date and would run almost anything.
Saying that, I could build one from scraps of paper, a bucket of mud and 3 drawing pins and he probably wouldnt know the difference...
I guess I should start digging through the old parts bin....
