Same issue, quick fix.

I have been noticing that a lot of people keep having the same issues as others. I think if an issue appears more than five times a week it should be stickied. Anyone else agree?
On a side note, you should see my browser. I have over 100 links to knowledgebase articles and other quick fixes. It's to the point now where I see a problem someone is having and I simply call up the link to the fix, that's how many times I have seen some of these issues.
The three most common issues I am seeing in the XP forums lately are:
1. Task Manager / Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs, etc is missing or disabled by Administrator
2. Exe files are not opening normally and are instead opening with another application
3. Drives do not open normally and instead give "Not a Valid Win 32 application" error or present "Open With" dialogue box.
^All of the above are almost always caused by viruses or spyware, btw^
Anyone else notice this?

I am not able to open add and remove programs. I get an error that says it cannot find windows system 32 rundll32.exe. I am so not computer friendly when you go any deeper than this. Do you have any idea what I can do? I can't open add and remove hardware either.Posted 12-14-2008 at 09:19 PM by narocks
