Need some help locating parts and info
Was just given a Wheel Horse C-111 for free from an uncle. Its in great shape, has a recently replaced engine and came with a cutting deck and plow. Anyway I'm going to go through it and just check everything out and maybe give it a tune up since it hasnt been used lately. It does need a starter however and I'm having trouble finding a source for the parts and any other info on it for that matter. Any ideas?

Re: Need some help locating parts and info
Hi,
Usually ebay is a great source of parts. It does depend where you live though. I can't see it being too hard to find parts. You can also try toro dealer. I believe that wheel horse changed their name to Toro. Im also sure there is plenty of sites you can find online for this. Also, for engine parts, you can look up parts just for that engine model. Usually that works well also. Edit: forgot to mention, for a starter, you can use a different starter, you might just have to change how it is mounted. I can't say which it is though. Also are you sure its the starter itself, not possibly any electrical problem to the starter? Last edited by Snoopdogie187; 10-22-2009 at 06:54 PM. |

Re: Need some help locating parts and info
Not sure if there is a substantial price difference between models but you should expect to spend anywhere around $150.
As for info on your cars parts, repair, and just abotu everything else. Look up the Haynes repair manual for your make. http://www.haynes.com/ |

Re: Need some help locating parts and info
My mistake its a B111 with an 11hp B&S. Does anyone know where I can get a manual or parts breakdown for this mower without spending 25 bucks? There has to be one for download somewhere. I'll pull the number off the engine one its stops raining. Thanks again everyone.

Were to find the model number?:
http://www.briggsandstratton.com/mai...eltypecode.pdf Owners manual and parts manual are usually easy to find. Repair manuals are not. Repair manuals are "tools" BG |

Re: Need some help locating parts and info
The best place to find the repair manuals is a site deciated to wheel horse probably.
Otherwise you are stuck buying on. I did hear good things about the repair manuals on cds though. I can see how that would be better than the average book you normally buy. Once you get the model of the engine, use that on the briggs site to get the part number of the starter, and use the part numbers to look up the part when you are going to buy it. Just watch, sometimes parts change, so say there may be two starters that would work for you. |
