What kind of mower is this???

Picked this up for free to repair (has a dirty carb and ancient gas). Doesnt have any markings anywhere on it and I've never seen one like this before. Its pretty heavy duty and has a B&S engine thats about all I can figure out. Any ideas?

It has a Briggs and Stratton 3.5 HP engine.
My next door neighbor has one just like it.

Re: What kind of mower is this???

That's what I thought, but I wanted to see the drive system before saying so.

Re: What kind of mower is this???

At first I thought it may have been an older Toro but really had no clue. Upon fixing it today we found a name plate on the engine cover. Looks like it was a pretty good find, cleaned the carb, added fresh fluids and a new pull cord and it fired right up and runs great.

Re: What kind of mower is this???

Yes, that's a real good mower. We use 2 of them at home, both almost 20 years old (have replaced engines over the years, but other wise great).
