Kohler CH740 Crank gear
I have Kohler CH740 in an Zero turn mower that has a cracked crank shaft timing gear. This is the second time that this has happened to this engine. A new crank was installed a few months ago. I also have a second mower with the same engine and it also has the same problem. Can any tell me if this is an inherent problem with kohler engines or have I gut two lemons

Hi and welcome to TFS
You say cracked, I assume you mean broke. One would think a Crank would last the life of engine. I would write Kohler and talk to them. If you are not happy with their answer, maybe write the Better Business Bureau, if you are in the USA. BG |
