20 hp Kohler won't start

It's on a 15 year old grasshopper mower. It died while idling cooling down. The oil light is on in the run position until you crank, then it's off until you unplug then plug the four lead connector to the engine.(Oil,Reg, Mag,Solenoid) The oil light comes back on just like normal but cranking makes it go out back in run position. Switch? Motor? Short?

Does it have a spark?
