no spark

have a B&S 8hp Horz. model 190402 and I can not seem to get a spark. Can anyone help? Please explain how to check if coil is good.

Hi toopay

To test the coil you will need a DVOM , spec sheet, and the service manual to show you where to probe and the tolerances that are acceptable. Does the motor have an ignition module?

no module! pull start, I wanted to replace the coil but there is a wire behind the flywheel so now I am trying to pull the wheel off to replace the coil.

If it has points replace them also. That could be your problem.
