Hi. I have a Toro walk behind mower, model 2065, serial 6006248. It hasnt been used since about 1989. I was trying to remove the carburetor to clean it when a couple of small control rods that were attached to a spring, the other end of which was attached to the engine, fell off. It isnt really clear how to reattach these little rods, and I have not been able to find them on schematics of the engine or carburetor assemblies. The throttle control is up near the mower's handle, these two control rods operate parts in the same area as the throttle control, directly above the carburetor.
Hope this makes some sense. Has anyone seen schematics that show these two parts, maybe in an engine manual? I believe the engine is a tecumseh but I'm not certain. thanks. |

Re: Toro walk-behind mower engine - how to reassemble
Hi ramone899
If the engine is a tecumseh here's a manual for it that covers from 3hp to 11 hp. Here's the link : http://www.cpdonline.com/692509.pdf |
