I think it is a good price, about $100 cheaper than other similar ones, plus free shipping.

Do what I did, search the web.

In the $400 price you are back to what you had, vertical shaft engine with a "Maintenance free"/throw away pump.

I am just your average home owner and if I were in the market for a pressure washer, I would seriously look at that is one.

basementG, I know now what to look for. Didn't mean to make you look for me, just wanting to get an idea, and I know it'd be a cat pump operated one.
I'll keep an eye open, and i'll leave this thread open for a bit longer, in the event i have anymore questions on this current pump. thx for your help.
