fuel in oil
I have a DR chipper with a B&S 18HP Vanguard engine. During storage this past winter I noticed that gasoline was draining onto my garage floor. This past week I finally had a chance to look at the problem. When I drained the oil, I found lots of fuel mixed with the oil. What has happened internally, and what do I need to fix? The engine has only about 10 hours on it, and I have been using synthetic oil, always checked before use. Any insight will be very appreciated. Thank you.

Re: fuel in oil
Hi grumpa
The problem you describe is the engine has been flooded from multiple start attempts. Are you certain no one tried to start it other than yourself ? Drain and replace the oil, dry off or replace spark plug and restart according to manufacturers starting procedure. |
