Briggs Starting
I have a 12hp Briiggs The mower was running great until tonite.I messed with the settings on the carb and also the one on the bottom of the carb bowl.It will start after some time cranking but will only start and shut down, seems like its getting too much gas. What are the startup settings on the screws, just to get it running.

Re: Briggs Starting
I hate to see no answers for you yet so...
Im not certain with that engine but screws on the bottom of carbs are generally to control the float and or the fuel level. I would start there. Try turnig it 1/8 turn clockwise at a time and see if it gets better. This will reduce the fuel level. Remember where it was when you start doing this. Post back with any results.
