Evil John Deere L120 HELP!

I have a 2002 John Deere L120 with 149 hours and a 20HP B&S engine. The engine will not stay running for an extended period of time. I can start it, let it run to warm up from 3 minutes to 15 minutes, then start mowing. I can mow for 2-10 minutes then the motor shuts down. No sputtering, no revving, it just dies. Almost like I just shut off the ignition. I am stumped!

I have changed the gas cap, replaced the fuel lines, changed the plugs, replaced the air filter, replaced the belt, new battery, new gas filter, replaced the gas, and new fuel pump. I am stuck here. If anyone can shed some insight, I would greatly appreciate it!

Tim

Re: John Deere L120 HELP!

Have you checked for spark after it shuts down and will not start?
It sounds like it could be a failing ignition module.
