Some Dummy...........
Got a 20HP briggs V twin engine,Now the problem is "HOW DO I HOOK UP THE GOVENOR SPRINGS?"this thing runs great but when you release the throttle by the carb it goes wide open throttle,the govenor wont shut it down,I removed the pan an the gov. weights were thrown off I replaced the gov.an again the same thing happened,the springs when hooked up like a lawnmower shop told me they pull the throttle wide open an hold it there .......well needless to say I wont listen to him again tryin to find used gov.any good are hard to find around here,I know B&S has a nice little site but tryin to find anything there is like lookin for hens teeth.
Anyone that knows how to hook these up or even a picture for this ol man to see would be wonderful.......ty Last edited by Oldlawnmowerman; 04-26-2009 at 10:51 PM. |

This thing was in the shop, and now it's blown apart it's governor?
It actually sounds like the governor was hooked up backwards, i think you should consider a lawsuit.
