Briggs 18hp V-Twin stalling issue
Im working on a baseball infield grooming machine. It is completely operated by hydraulics, wheels and all. The pump is powered by a B&S Vanguard 16hp V-Twin. The engine runs great at full throttle until a moderate to heavy load is applied. The engine begins to stall, spit and sputter. If you keep it under a load it will die, but if you back off it will return to full throttle operation in about 4-5 seconds. I think its starving for fuel. I rebuilt the carb, cleaned out the fuel tank and replaced the filter. It didn't solve anything. The fuel pump diaphram appears to be okay but since it is vacume/pressure operated, what other items should I check to make sure it's recieving proper vacume? If some of my assumptions are incorrect i'm open for any criticism. Spelling and all.

Re: Briggs 18hp V-Twin stalling issue
Did you blow out the fuel lines?
I would have a leak-down test performed on it.
