electric or battery lawnmowers

I don't know if anyone is knowlesdgeable in this area, but I saw an ad for a $400 electric (or it might have been a battery) lawnmower in a popular science mag the other day.

It said it ran on 67 watts, and that normally they run on 37 watts.

I was actually thinking about getting one of these to save on gas and oil, but will the charge last for 2 hours or more (longest yard takes about 2 hours to do) and how big are the decks, and how sharp are the blades usually?

if you're looking at battery, thats great, if it plugs in, thats bad. There's a little trick you can pull with this if its battery..Harbor Frieght sells solar chargers for about 35bucks. If ya can get one, you just might be able to pull off a 2hr run time with a little help from nature. I'm not familiar with what you are speaking of, but I will look into them.

ok, so just regualr battery lawnmowers will not get 2 hours of charge time?

I did sme looking around, and found that the longest lasting battery they have so far for mowers is 1 hour. This is not good, cause the person's lawn I mow usually takes about 2 hours or more. This stinks, was really hoping to save on gas this summer, but I guess I will have to keep using the gas mower :(
