Briggs alternator

I have a 16hp Briggs engine. I use it for my pressure washer. My battery keeps dying and I think it might be the altnator. I would like to change it if possible. Could someone tell me how difficult it might be to do so?

Re: Briggs alternator

Have you checked the voltage output while it is running ?

Maybe bad battery.

Alternator probably under the fly wheel.

Suggest you find a manual, probably can on line.

If it is under the flywheel you will need a flywheel puller.
