Toro Riding Mower
Just bought a used Toro XL38 rider 12HP. Cuts great, but on cold start I get lots of white/blue smoke for about 10 seconds. Then it stops, and no more smoke until next cold start (days later). Is there a serious problem brewing?
Thanks in advance |

Re: Toro Riding Mower
Probably oil ring/rings. Depending on the position of the valves oil
could be sliding by the stem seals allowing oil to sit on top of piston/ pistons. Then when you start it up the oil is burning off. If its a older motor its kinda sorta normal. You may try changing oil and go to a thicker oil meant for older/used motors. If the motor is not hammering and knocking i wouldnt worry to much about it.
