I have a 2002 dodge 3/4ton with a 5.9 gas. it will run with the idle speed unit unpluged at 1500 rpm. if you plug it in it will stall. i have tryed 3 defernt units and noughthing.

Clean out the carbon deposits in the idle port using decarbonizer spray also the throttle plate. Use a DVOM and get voltage readings from the IAC plug, remove any engine codes and please post them. Remove the IAC and connect the plug to it, by turning the ignition with KOEO several times check the IAC if the plunger moves in and out. post back your findings. |

I have found out that it is the computer. I am haveing NO!!! luck at all finding one. I am thinking of trying to find a intake,carb,dist. that will fit a 2002 Dodge 2500 with the 360. If you have any thoughts please let me know. thank you
