1995 Ford Probe GT spark but no FIRE
I just bought a 95 Ford Probe GT V-6 the guy says it needed a new distributor. As I was checking things out I ran a coil test with a spark plug wire tester and got a nice blue spark when I turned the engine over. so I put that back together and tested a spark plug wire turned the engine over and got spark. BUT yet the thing wont run. I took the oil cap off and while turning the motor over I can see the belt moving and gears moving. Ok no broke belt, Got spark but yet won't fire up. what's up with this. scanner is reading a crank sensor code. but if the crank sensor was bad would it not allow a spark at all or would it?? any advice or idea's would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 1995 Ford Probe GT spark but no FIRE
Hi fordprobeGt
The crank sensor tells the computer that the piston is at TDC, if the computer detected a crank sensor failure, then your best bet is to test it, and if its bad replace the sensor. |
