adding a extra battery to a truck

i have a 98 gmc seirra 1500 truck that has a battery tray on each side under the hood can i add a second battery and hook it up so it stays charged in case of the original battery ever needing a jump

Digger, you're probably gonna need something like this to isolate and maintain the batteries.
