92 4.3 pickup hard to start...

i have a 92 gmc 1500 with the 4.3 tbi.. after puting a lil more than a half a tank in gas it started being hard to start.. it stumbles and i pump the gas and it starts up.. after it starts it runs find.. it blows smoke out when i get it started like it was flooded.. does anyone have any idea why this is happening all of a sudden.. thanks pls let me know any info or if you need more info just ask me and i will try to find out.. thanks

Hi vkrandoff

Apologies for not getting to you sooner.
What color of smoke comes out of the exhaust ? Blue ? White? Black?
Do you hear any funny noises coming from the fuel pump after you filled up ? Hook up a fuel pressure tester and check the pump's psi output. Please post any trouble codes that the computer may have picked up.

post back your findings.
