95 Lumina Mass Air Flow sensor
I have a code 34 on the OBD1 and I wanted to check the two possible causes that I understand to be either MAF or MAP senors.
I couldn't find the MAF on this 95 Chevy Lumina. Is there one? (Issue: Engine stalls at idle <750 RPM) |

Re: 95 Lumina Mass Air Flow sensor
Hi slbcar
The mass air flow usually is located on the intake tube just after the air filter housing with a 3-sometimes-4 prong molex connector. If its not there then it doesn't have one. The MAP sensor has a 3 wire connector with a vacuum line. Testing the MAP sensor will require you to have a DVOM and a vacuum pump. The meter readings should change as engine load changes. |

Re: 95 Lumina Mass Air Flow sensor
Thanks for the confirmation... no MAF sensor. Traced the harnes from MAP connector back to connector near alternator. Broken wire right at the harness. I managed to free up about a quarter inch of wire and installed a crimp connector. I don't expect this to last forever but at least I confirmed it was the problem and I can figure out a better solution later.
